Backpacked to S.K.~

Harlo. long time since I'm writing.
Just started my final year final sem.
Again, hectic life begins.

But, before this, I'm really happy for having the chance to visit Seoul.

Mainly South Korea is full of high rise buildings which is almost like in KL.
And a lot of rivers too.
Watching from the plane, I'm so excited before we're landed.

The buildings design are all very unique.
Even small houses are also designed very beautifully.
Everywhere I can see flowers. I liked it. ^^

On the first day, after check in, we have a walk around Hongdae Hongik University area.
Lots of shops, people, and the culture are totally different.
Their night life are so active.
There are lots of youngsters bringing guitar and singing just by the road and violin too.

And different thing is the gates or historical places are all in the middle of high rise buildings.
Seeeee~

This is Namdaemun (南大门)that we visit on the 2nd day.
So hard to find the building as it is hide among the high rise buildings. haha.
And around that area are a few streets for shopping.
After ate lunch, we head to LOTTE mart before going to Seoul Tower.

Planned to watch sunset from the tower but the haze makes it all blur.

And then, we headed back.
Korea dinner always come with side dishes. dang dang dang!
haha. and its free of charges plus free refillable.
My friend missed them very much after he came back.

And the 3rd day, we visited the hanok village at Namsagol.
They are holding a lot of hands on experience for their culture as Cheoseok (thanksgiving) festival is approaching.
For example, letting people to try on doing rice cake, explaining the food that are used, and try on traditional way of beating clothes to straighten them.
The lil boy is so cute in his traditional costume.
Then, we saw the place where they will do their sauce every year before winter.
A lot of jars~
And we observed how they make straw slippers.
They also let people try on their traditional game which I found quite similar like our sepak takraw. =P
In the afternoon, we went to Myeong Dung street where our group are divided into two.
One went for Nanta show and one went shopping.
We even saw artists performing at the street, but sorry I don't know them.
Seldom got time to spent on KPOP.
And finally is dinner.
I don't understand why in English its written as "pork leg soup" but in chinese its written as 醒酒 something. haha. But, there is no pork leg in the soup.
And its spicy. >.<
Too bad I'm not a spicy-lover so I don't quite like food in Korea except the light snacks and seaweed soups. hehe.

4th day coming up, its their thanksgiving festival.
Nearly all shopping areas closed. =(
We decided to head for trick eye museum.
This is one of the photo I taken. haha.
Tourist from Taiwan. They acted so true.
Then, we go to ice museum before we headed for lunch.
After lunch, we had a short rest and visited Jongno, Insadong and Cheongyeong stream area.
somehow I found something I loved to eat there.
Bibimbap with baby octopus~ =D

sorry, not much photo taken during night because my camera requires solar power.
hahaha.
I was joking. my camera can't take nice picture at night. XD

5th day: Tour at Geungbukgung (景福宫) and Shopping at Insadong
Went to the underground exhibition room to understand the beginning of Hanggul.
Then, we went for lunch where I got my Udon. hehe.
After that, we went to the palace for the tour.
Too bad the Guard changing ceremony was cancelled due to excessive crowds in the palace square. =(
And so many people lining up for tickets due to its a holiday. wuwuwu~
But, we managed to get our tickets in less than half hour due to the efficiency of Koreans.
When will Malaysia achieve this same kind of efficiency. I will look forward for it. hehe.
The palace is so beautiful. Colourful roof. Green gardens and peaceful lakes.

And the sky, water and ground all have guardians/statues that they believe will protect the King.

So peaceful~ ^^
After the long journey walking in a gigantic palace, we head for a feast! =D
Then we have Walking stick ice cream at Insadong.
And dumplings where I found kimchi in it. Hot hot spicy! >.<

On the 6th day, we went for tour at two palaces and secret garden (Huwon).
At night time, we head to Dongdaemun (东大门).
A really nice place for shopping.
Cheap & pretty clothes, shoes, caps, accessories, you name it. haha.
But, not in the mood of shopping.
So, I didnt bought anything except a red bean snack.
Filling my stomach everywhere I go. haha

7th day, its a Sunday. Ruth & I went to a Catholic church in Myeong Dung as it is in English.
Then, we met up with Lok's friend for lunch, short walk at Buchon Hanok Village and teatime.

Cuppucino.

After bidding goodbye to Hyun Woo, we went to EWHA University Area.
Their University is so pretty. With a church on top of the hill. ^^
Last dinner in Korea, we head for BBQ buffet.
And the shop got dog-meat. Ewww.
I dare not try.
Feel so cruel. x.X

And finally, we arriving the end of our journey.
We had a very full lunch at the shop we ate on the first meal in Seoul.
It's so yummy that I heed for second bowl of seaweed soup. haha.
With that, it marks the end of our adventure to Seoul. =)
my own handmade Korea souvenir.
p/s: i know I'm not talented in paintings. @.@

Yesterday I did a simply stupid thing. haha
I saw there's dust on the fan that hang on the wall which is bought from China long time ago.
You know what I did? haha.
I use a wet cloth to wipe it. Then, some of the calligraphy ink seep into my cloth.
stupid right? =P hahaha
Then, I clean my mom's fav. organ, remembered how my mom used to play it.
When I was a kid, I always like to dance when i heard mom playing it.
Cause I feel like the music from organ is like "Cha Cha". =D

This few days didnt managed to go jogging. hehe.
Just finished with the feeling of dizzyness, comes diarrhea.
When I stop down suddenly and have rest, its normal that I got sick. Don't know why.
But my weight drop drastically although no exercise.
After few days back, I drop almost 3 kg already.
This shows how unhealthy food in UTP.
But the most happy thing at home is got soup.

Okay, stop bragging bout food.
I wanna get my muscles back. so still need to workout.
Set my aim clear, let's see. =)

Yesterday, feels like I am not fit to say I'm an independent child.
Don't even know how to install things. Totally tech-idiot.
Then, was died engine twice when driving back after sending my bro off.
After that, want to cook soup, but I look at the chicken. not chopped yet. >_<
Still got a long way to go before I can master all these skills.
Gambateh! Hopefully, no one complains bout the chicken I chopped. =P haha

Will be busy on home cleaning these few days.
So happy when my sis helped out on vacuum-ing carpet yesterday.
The joy that I can't express.
She's all grown up, my lil sis.

okay, that's all for now I think.
Make full use of holiday ya.
Take care & God bless. =)

p/s: last night before sleep then I realised I haven't drank any water the whole day.
Today gonna drink a lot to prevent dehydrated. *carrying my water bottle with me everywhere* =D

So, I hope the same too. Please don't ask me.

Following is the verse that I liked the most when I was reading bout it last week:

Love must be sincere. hate what is evil;
cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love.
Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

I will do the same

Came across this song this morning that touches my heart.
So here it is. Enjoy~

Lyrics:

The Heaven declare Your glory
and I will do the same
The skies proclaim Your work of Your hands
and I will do the same

*Chorus*
I will sing
I will shout
and glorify your name.
All of creation testify
and I will do the same.

The mountains bow down before your throne
and I will do the same
And trees of the fields clap their hands
and I will do the same

*Chorus x 2*

Grace flows down like a river
from Your wounded side
And I will sing
to the giver of life.

*Chorus x 2*

The Heaven declare Your glory
and I will do the same.

It's August again~

Hi there. :D
How are you all doing?
2013 is passing very fast. Tik Tok Tik Tok.
Do you feel that its just Chinese new year and now its August?
Haha. Frankly speaking, I feel it that way.
I'm countdown-ing for my holiday. Going back home soon.
Very soon....
In one more month's time!! *excited*

Last week, I got my exam slip for the second last time.
This time was a bit special.
First time, exam slip was distributed in Chancellor Hall. Feels so grand.
Due to it was a long time since I got an exam slip, I nearly use a ruler to tear half of it to hand up the signature part to Registra Unit instead of giving the black print copy behind. hahaha.
Feels so stupid. =P

Hari Raya is coming up.
Actually holiday for Raya is on Thursday and Friday.
But, classes on Monday and Tuesday were cancel, so, its a week! =D
Friday was a shopping day in Ipoh.
Saturday had a 3 hours nap.
Sunday had a 2 hours nap and a nice jog.
Plus am thankful for a brother who borrowed me his cooker.
So, I can cook now. wheeeee~
Haha. I just love holidays.

How nice if there is no end for holidays. Haha.
Happy holidays and Selamat Hari Raya. =)
