So, first, we take a bus from ipoh to Butterworth then we sit a colourful ferry. Actually, should be say standing as all the chairs are wet due to heavy rain.
Then, the first thing to do when we reached is to find a map as we did not print out any Penang maps.
Asking around for map and a guy told us to go to the blue white building. Guess what, it's a police station =.=
We finally got our map from an information counter of rapid penang at the terminal bus station. Thanks God. After that, we checked in and its time to conquer Penang! :D
The best thing bout Penang is of course the FOOD!
Fried oyster, rojak, asam laksa, char kueh tiaw, hokkien mee, etc.
Think of it, my saliva is dropping already.
Waiting bus plus the journey took almost an hour to reach there.
The scenery was so beautiful up there. But, too bad we can't see the sunrise. Yet, the air is so refreshing. It was so few people when we go up but a lot when we go downhill.
Actually, I didn't expect it to be so cold and freezing up there in the morning. x~X
Then we visited the pagoda and a lot of temples in Kek Lok Si.
& I tastes hokkien mee. Memang Sedaaap! :D
I heard my friend say the laksa nearby there also nice but too bad didn't have chance to try it. (or maybe we should left it for next time >.^V)
The next best thing bout Penang is shopping & visiting the heritage in Georgetown.
| chatime's pearl milk tea. I like~ |
This model is real human. At first sight, I thought a doll looks so real and pretty with the fair and smooth complexion of her skin. Who knows suddenly I saw her eyes blink. *so scary*
Then we saw change shift time, the manager come and unlock with a key open the glass door and another model went in and lock.
This was taken at a shop sell Tau sa piah when a friend who curi-curi run out from work to bring us around Penang. Cute character. I remember I like to tie my hair like that when small. :P
Great thanks to have such a nice & sincere friend. =)
| nice sweet potato fried~ ^^ |
Actually, we going to hunt for penang's famous kueh tiaw. But, it was closed that day. T~T
so we eat normal dishes with rice. & we tried something special here. ------------------------------------>
The circles. I feel like to sit in the middle and take a photo when small. But this time I go take, I was too big already ended up cover all the circles behind. XD
Time doesn't wait!
Here is the place we hunt for dimsum!------------------------->
After dimsum, we went to find Khoo Kongsi. Actually, it tooks us a lot of time to discover it. Because as we thought it should be a very big area with a lot of old building. But, unexpectedly, the door was so small like a shop lot size and the buildings are surround by the shops so we can't saw it from the outside. It's a nice treasure hunt with me, a map-idiot. Haha.
Due to time constrain, we had to head back after visiting khoo Kongsi.
On the way back to hotel, we saw the St George church, a place in my to-visit list. This was taken in the bus. A church with a very pretty and unique design. ^^
After packing, it's time to go back. UTP, here I come again. >.<
It's time to face tests + assignments + projects.
It was really a memorable and adventurous journey especially when I can read a map now. haha.
& grateful for a friend who borrowed me his camera. Thats why all the photos are so clear. XD
