Today, someone said something that broke my heart.
I know I may think things differently or in specific, different perspective than you.
But, different people have different way of thinking.
Today's incident make me realized that communication is a very important thing in our daily life to convey our idea and our thoughts.
Actually, there are a lot of ways to communicate.
In a conversation, there are words that will hurt people and there are words that will help people.
It all depends on what words you choose to convey your message.
"Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." - Proverbs 12:18
Saying something sarcastic is full of impact but it does not necessary to be accepted by the listener. Once its not accepted, it will goes to zero.
How bout saying something that can be accepted in order to have the impact?
Feelings also affect communication. When ones lost his/her patience, the communication/conversation will directly cut to an end. I admit I have a very serious bad habit which is I tend to start cold war when someone hurt me. People who understands me will know I seldom get angry but if I got angry, I will ignore that person for quite some time. Surely, its not a good experience. But, to me, I think get away from the situation and person is a good thing to do. So that I can think the problem thoroughly. Calm myself down then consider the points and decide. Continue talking in that situation is not going to be good as more 'explosive' words will be said to defend oneself when emotions running in.
Remember, words that are spoken can't be taken back, so think before saying anything. =)
Lastly, something to ponder:
"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law." - Galatians 5:22-23
I hope one day I can have better patience.
